Georgetown Community Clean Up Day
Historic Georgetown Association's complex at the corner of Depot St. and Layton Av., was chosen as the focal point for a special event that brought the whole community together. The Georgetown Community Clean Up Day was a rousing success despite the rain showers that cam in the afternoon. Various community groups and individuals spent the morning cleaning up trash and other items throughout Georgetown. Then they met back at the HGA complex for food, live entertainment, rides on Lil toot and fellowship. See our pictures of this event!
August Open House
The next Open House event for the Georgetown Train Station and First Fire House will be Saturday, August 7 from Noon to 2 PM. Come tour the museums and enjoy the model trains. Weather permitting, Lil Toot will be running for the kids of all ages to enjoy. Free Admission and light refreshments. All are Welcome.
Historic Georgetown Association is planning a special "President's Display" for the Georgetown Train Station museum area. Over the years, many area residents have had the opportunity to have their picture taken with a US President. If you are one of those individuals we would like for you to provide a copy to HGA so we can add it to the collection. HGA will provide the frame for the picture. Please contact Martin Donovan at [email protected] or Lynn Moore at [email protected] if you have a picture with a President that we can place in our display. Thanks for your cooperation.
